Welcome to my Alliterated Schedule!

Hello Hello!

Happy Friday – thank goodness. What a long week for me! Do you notice that posts are coming more often? Not quite back to where I was when I first started but I am definitely getting there. I know posting regularly is the best way to get traffic and for me writing a schedule out will make it easier. No more asking myself what I should write.

Welcome to my Alliterated Schedule! It is arranged on a biweekly basis. I will be posting Monday, Wednesday, Friday on what I have dubbed Week 1 and Tuesday and Thursday on what I have dubbed Week 2. Each day contains an alliterate topic. (Wednesday is still subject to change. Seriously, I never realized how hard W was to find matches for until this blog).

Week 1

Monday: Mystery Monday

Wednesday: Writing Prompts and Winspirations Wednesday

Friday: Fact Friday

Week 2

Tuesday: Tutorial Tuesday

Thursday: Theme Thursday

What do you think?

On a somewhat related note :

I’m thinking of expanding Wedding Erins and Events to a Pinterest account. Thoughts? I’m a little hesitant. Is it too early? Probably. But if I’m putting themes and tutorials on my personal board anyways it seems like making an account for Wedding Erins makes more sense. Hm- such a spot to be in. Anyone have any thoughts?

Recommitting to a Dream

Oh boy- Is it odd that I almost feel awkward returning to this community and this blog? All of my talk about how Wedding Erins is my dream and something I plan on really striving to commit fully to and within three weeks I am gone. Well I could make excuses by saying that I began working in the actual field and the job has stolen an incredible amount of my time. It’s a true statement but the fact is that is always how it seems to work – things that you need to do to actually achieve your dream interfere with the dream itself.

I know that I need the experience before I can go out on my own. And truthfully I do like my new job and I enjoy the field that I would like to commit to fully. Last week I spent some time in a hotel in order to gain some experience. Usually I work on the other end of things and just arrange workers for events, but being in the actual hotel and just watching the hustle and bustle of it really reiterated my thoughts of belonging in there. I love the movement! I also like the classy feel hotels have. Draping greens and bubbling fountains with a coffee bar scenting the air- yeah I could get used to that environment. And I am going to do my best to get back in here and recommit to this place as well.

Here’s to committing to a dream once again.

Bear With Me!

Alright so I know it’s been a while! Believe it or not it wasn’t intentional.  For the past month I’ve been working on relocating. Its all well and good,  I’m happy with the decision my husband and I made but oh my moving is a lot of work. My mother and I have been doing all the packing involved in moving slammed into a week. This isn’t my excuse,  though I do have to admit I have one. My excuse is that our internet cut out and because of moving we decided it was best to simply disconnect it. Ugh! Unfortunately I also have a limited amount of mobile data and I have reached my limit so here I am,  internet-less.
I’ve got to say I didn’t realize how much I use internet/data. Even for things other than social media.  I’ve been very lost without it. I suppose it’s good for me to be without it. It gives me a chance to explore life and I think that comparatively I do pretty well controlling how often I am active on the internet, but being without it really negatively effects my blog.
It really is a pity that I’ve no internet currently because quite a few event related things have happened to me. Saturday I spent the afternoon volunteering at a banquet for a company in my area.  I need 100 hrs of practicum before I can officially title myself an Event Manager, though I suppose having something to plan would also contribute to my title.  Still,  until I have those events to plan, volunteering I must. Overall it is a pretty sweet deal. The day before I go to the office and fold and cut name tags and place holders. Then on the day of I set up the events name tags and shadow the companies Event Manager. Each time I go I am more convinced that Event Management is what I would like to do with my future,  so I suppose that is a good thing!
Tonight though, and the rest of this week really I don’t feel as though I can do Wedding Erins justice. Important and exciting things could be happening everyone, just bear with me this week.
